In a record-breaking victory, the Bridgeport Indians defeated Fairmont Senior 62-28 to secure the program's 15th perfect 10-0 regular season and extend their state-best winning streak to 24 games. The night was highlighted by junior running back Gavin Williams, who shattered the school's single-game rushing record with 411 yards and five touchdowns on just 20 carries, surpassing the previous mark of 317 yards. While the game began as a high-scoring shootout, with Fairmont Senior taking a 21-20 lead after the first quarter, the Indians' defense adjusted significantly, allowing Bridgeport to score 42 unanswered points. Head coach Tyler Phares credited the win to both Williams' skill and the dominance of the offensive line, while Williams noted the record was "cool" but that the team remains focused on winning a state championship. The defending Class AAA champions now enter a bye week before the playoffs.
