Midland Trail survived a back-and-forth battle with Braxton County, holding on for a 27-26 victory in a game filled with explosive plays.
Braxton County’s Logan Payne delivered some of the biggest moments of the night, breaking loose for an 84-yard touchdown reception and later ripping off a 95-yard touchdown run as the Eagles fought their way back into the game.
Midland Trail answered with several big plays of its own. Quarterback Jasper Swafford helped direct the Patriots’ offense, while Aiden Weis found the end zone on the ground. Colt Lesher also provided a major special-teams spark with a punt return touchdown.
The Eagles continued to battle behind Payne and Brady Toler, but Midland Trail’s defense came up with the stops it needed late to preserve the one-point victory.
Relive the touchdowns, turnovers and explosive plays from a dramatic 27-26 Midland Trail win over Braxton County.
