Class AA No. 1 Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights extended their winning streak to 10 games with a 6-2 victory over Class AAAA No. 1 Morgantown Mohigans in a rare matchup of No. 1 teams.
With both squads preparing for OVAC Championship games, the Maroon Knights got a complete performance from junior Brady Ernest, who went the distance on the mound and delivered at the plate.
Central struck early and never looked back, using timely hitting and strong pitching to secure the statement win ahead of championship Friday.
