West Virginia defeated Cincinnati 69-50 on Senior Day after overcoming a slow start. Two 7-0 runs, one at the end of the first half and another to begin the second, propelled the Mountaineers to victory. After a back-and-forth first half, West Virginia used a strong defensive effort, forcing 24 turnovers, to pull away. JJ Quinerly led all scorers with 29 points, moving into fifth place on WVU's all-time scoring list. Eleven Mountaineers scored in the game. Cincinnati's Jillian Hayes recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. West Virginia now prepares for a quick turnaround as they host No. 14 Kansas State on Monday.
