To take that one step further, Wheeling Central has appeared in 13 state championship games and has 12 titles! Their opponent in this Class A title game hales from Blacksville, WV, and the Cee-Bees of Clay Battelle are the #3 seed. They come into this championship game as the hottest team in the WV State High School Football Championships having won 12 games in a row and are sporting a (12-1) record. Clay Battelle lost their first game of the season to Cameron 22-16, and since then have done nothing but win! As far as playoff victories go, the Cee-Bees have 5, and this is the very first time the young men from Mon County have ever appeared in a Championship game!
