However, Cameron displayed their championship mettle, making crucial free throws and securing key defensive stops to hold off the rally. Ashlynn Van Tassell led the charge for Cameron, delivering a dominant performance with 24 points and 15 rebounds, engaging in a compelling matchup with Tucker County's Kadie Colebank. Despite struggling from three-point range, Cameron found ways to score and ultimately prevailed, showcasing their resilience and determination to repeat as state champions.
