In the Class AA state championship, Wyoming East defeated Williamstown 46-42 in a defensive-oriented game. Williamstown led by a slim margin at halftime, despite poor field goal shooting, due to strong rebounding and free-throw performance. Williamstown extended their lead in the third quarter, but Wyoming East rallied, cutting the deficit to three points. Wyoming East then dominated the fourth quarter, finishing the game on a 15-4 run. Cadee Blackburn of Wyoming East scored 14 of her 17 points in the second half, leading her team to their second consecutive state championship.
