The Parkersburg Catholic Crusaderettes dominated the Class AA state championship game, defeating Wyoming East 67-35. Parkersburg Catholic delivered an exceptional shooting performance and stifling defense, establishing an early lead they never relinquished. The victory marked their 10th state championship and fulfilled their desire for redemption after previous tournament disappointments. Leslie Huffman led the scoring with 19 points, while Jocelynn Thorn and Mary Tokodi-Ruth contributed 17 and 12 points, respectively. The Crusaderettes' team-oriented play was evident with 20 assists on 23 field goals. Wyoming East struggled offensively, shooting poorly and being out-rebounded. Parkersburg Catholic's flawless performance secured their championship and capped off an impressive undefeated season.
