Wyoming East, despite playing only 10 games in the season, defeated Parkersburg Catholic 61-50 to win the Class AA state championship. Led by Skylar Davidson's 23 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 assists, the Warriors displayed strong defense and clutch shooting throughout the game. Wyoming East established an early lead and maintained it, thwarting Parkersburg Catholic's comeback attempts. The victory ended Parkersburg Catholic's 44-game winning streak and secured Wyoming East's first state title since 2016. Hannah Blankenship and Daisha Summers also contributed significantly to the Warriors' victory. Leslie Huffman, Lainie Ross, and Aaliyah Brunny led Parkersburg Catholic's efforts, but they were unable to overcome Wyoming East's consistent performance.
