After matching the program's best record in more than a decade with a 9-3 season and a third state quarterfinal appearance in five years, George Washington enters 2026 looking to make an even deeper postseason run.

Sophomore sensation Jaden Black returns after earning First Team All-State honors as a freshman, rushing for nearly 1,600 yards and 26 touchdowns. Marshall commit James Payne anchors the offensive line, while head coach Steve Edwards Jr. believes a quarterback competition featuring De'Sean Isabell and Tavion Woods could add a new dimension to the Patriots' offense.
