Highlights from West Virginia Mountaineers baseball 13-6 win over Kansas State Wildcats baseball as WVU completed a Big 12 series sweep.
The Mountaineers controlled the weekend from start to finish, outscoring Kansas State 29-7 across three games and winning each contest by at least seven runs.
WVU broke open a tight game with a five-run fourth inning, highlighted by RBI hits from Brodie Kresser, Matt Ineich, and Sean Smith. After Kansas State trimmed the deficit in the eighth, the Mountaineers answered emphatically with a six-run frame, powered by home runs from Tyrus Hall, Gavin Kelly, and Smith.
Paul Schoenfeld continued his strong series with multiple hits, finishing the weekend with eight total. Ineich, Smith, and Kresser also recorded multi-hit performances, while Armani Guzman added a double, two runs scored, and his 26th stolen base of the season.
On the mound, Dawson Montesa struck out six in four innings, while Carson Estridge earned the win in relief. Reese Bassinger closed out the game.
West Virginia improves to 31-12 (16-8 Big 12) and will look to carry momentum into their next matchup.
