Week 4 of the 2026 West Virginia high school football season delivered long touchdowns, special-teams scores, defensive takeaways and late-game drama. Count down the 12 best plays from across the state in this edition of MetroNews Top Plays.

No. 12 — Berkeley Springs: Jalen Miller finds Jake Aulabaugh in tight coverage for a touchdown against Smithsburg, Maryland.

No. 11 — Elkins: Jaden Hatfield breaks loose for 72 yards from deep in Tigers territory during a 55-14 win at Buckhannon-Upshur.

No. 10 — Tolsia: Robert Evans connects with Greyson Golden, who spins through several attempted tackles for a 45-yard touchdown in a 48-45 shootout against Tug Valley.

No. 9 — East Fairmont: Logan Eakle connects with Tyler Hudson for a 44-yard gain before scoring on a quarterback sneak with four seconds remaining. Adam Morris adds the winning PAT to give the Bees a 14-13 victory over Lewis County.

No. 8 — Wheeling Central Catholic: Freshman Wyatt Stephens reverses field and races down the sideline for a punt-return touchdown at Union Local, Ohio.

No. 7 — Doddridge County: Jacob Britton blocks a punt that Aaron Glaspell recovers for a touchdown, while freshman Corben Hall contributes a kickoff-return touchdown and two rushing scores, including a 60-yard run, in a 45-7 win over Ravenswood.

No. 6 — Logan: Zo Murphy races 77 yards on a punt return before Greg Williams connects with Lucas Lambert for a 50-yard touchdown in a 42-6 win at Wayne.

No. 5 — George Washington: Kase Kearns blocks a field-goal attempt that DJ Spencer returns 80 yards for a touchdown. Desean Isabell then finds Davon Brockman for a 72-yard score in the Patriots’ 49-12 win at South Charleston.

No. 4 — Martinsburg: Brian Dick connects with Boston Todd for a 46-yard touchdown before adding a 40-yard scoring run of his own in a 35-7 win over Canisius, New York.

No. 3 — North Marion: Colby Vangilder creates the pressure, JD Baker scoops up the loose ball and races 82 yards for a touchdown, and Brian Poindexter scores the late go-ahead touchdown in a thrilling 29-25 win over Fairmont Senior.

No. 2 — University: Harrison Helbig launches a 70-yard touchdown pass to Hayden George, while Brady Goodenow delivers a career-best field goal in the Hawks’ 66-0 win over Wheeling Park.

No. 1 — Moorefield: Matthew Iman turns a bad shotgun snap on fourth-and-three into a 60-yard touchdown. Edison Metheny follows with a fourth-quarter pick-six before Iman converts the decisive two-point try in a 35-34 comeback win at Pendleton County.
