Huntington City Council voted 7–2 to approve an ordinance setting guardrails for the city’s planned $2.1 million Flock Safety system. MetroNews reporter Jack Carlson joins Dave Wilson and TJ Meadows on Talkline to explain the vote and the questions raised about surveillance, privacy and accountability.

The discussion includes Mayor Patrick Farrell’s case for transparency and safeguards, along with questions from Councilwomen Tia Rumbaugh and Sarah Walling about penalties for misuse. What happens when an improper use of the technology falls short of a felony, and how would those violations be addressed?
