The Greenbrier East Spartans kept their perfect season alive, defeating Hampshire 64-36 in the WVSSAC Class AAA Girls Basketball State Tournament Quarterfinals at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center.
The top-seeded Spartans jumped out quickly, scoring the first six points of the game as McKenna McClung finished inside to spark the early run. Hannah Fuller added a put-back basket to extend the lead as Greenbrier East built an 8-3 advantage midway through the opening quarter.

Greenbrier East began to separate in the second quarter. Kennedy Stewart buried a three-pointer from deep and Ava Workman scored off an inbound play to push the Spartans’ lead to 25-11.
