Highlights from Doddridge County’s 12-1 win over Williamstown in the Little Kanawha Conference Tournament Championship game.
After two tightly contested regular season matchups, the Bulldogs flipped the script in a big way—scoring in six different innings to claim the LKC title.
Doddridge wasted no time getting started. An RBI single from Dayne Murphy and a two-run single from Malachi Kelley sparked a three-run first inning. The Bulldogs continued to apply pressure, building a 5-1 lead before exploding for seven more runs late to seal the victory.
Tristan Swiger delivered a complete-game performance on the mound, striking out 10 batters while allowing just one run.
Offensively, every Bulldog reached base at least once. Luke Rokisky led the way with three hits, while Murphy, Kelley, and Maxwell Nicholson each added two. Rokisky, Kelley, and Josh DeHaven drove in two runs apiece.
Williamstown’s lone run came on an RBI single from Ben Raines, while Tyler Kaiser recorded three hits.
Doddridge County improves to 18-5 and captures the LKC Championship.
