Top-seeded Chapmanville powered its way into the Class AAA state championship game with a commanding 72-47 win over Winfield in the semifinals on Friday, March 20, 2026.
After a competitive first quarter, Chapmanville took control with a dominant second-quarter run, creating separation they would not relinquish. Jay Brock led the way with a game-high 19 points, while Benji Adkins controlled the interior and helped fuel multiple scoring runs.
Dakota Dalton added 15 points, knocking down five three-pointers, and Kai Martin contributed 15 points with strong play in the lane. Keaton Terry also chipped in 17 points as the Tigers showcased a balanced offensive attack.
Winfield was led by Owen Taylor with 16 points, while Owen Jones and Cameron Burks provided key moments throughout.
