Wyoming East advanced to the Class AA state championship game with a 56-51 win over Bluefield in the semifinals on Friday, March 20, 2026.
Keegan Davidson led the way with a game-high 22 points, including the go-ahead basket in the final minutes to secure the victory.
The Warriors built an early lead behind Broc Johnson and Talan Muscari, but Bluefield answered with multiple runs to keep the game tight throughout.
Jase Smith led the Beavers with 20 points, highlighted by a four-point play in the opening quarter and clutch scoring down the stretch. Davion Hickman and Amari Helm also added key contributions as Bluefield briefly took the lead late in the fourth.
After several lead changes in the closing minutes, Wyoming East made the decisive plays to close out the win.
With the victory, Wyoming East advances to the Class AA state championship game.
