On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, Bridgeport used a strong second half to pull away from East Fairmont in a Class AAA quarterfinal at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
The two Big Ten Conference rivals battled early, with East Fairmont taking a narrow lead behind Hudson Brand and Cayden Cooper, who combined for 28 first-half points. The Bees led after the first quarter, but Bridgeport responded with a key run in the second.
The Indians seized momentum behind Gavin Williams and Anderson McDougle, building a 26-17 halftime advantage. Bridgeport continued to control the pace in the second half, extending the lead with strong play on both ends of the floor.
Aryan Dodd led all scorers with 20 points, including key baskets in the third and fourth quarters to help Bridgeport create separation. Daniel Riley and Cooper Straley added timely scoring as the Indians pulled away down the stretch.
East Fairmont made a push early in the third quarter behind Jackson Conaway and Jason Beckley, but Bridgeport responded and closed the quarter strong to take full control.
With the 58-37 victory, Bridgeport advances to the Class AAA semifinals, where they will face the winner of North Marion vs Shady Spring.
