Davis & Elkins edged Point Park 75–73 in a tightly contested matchup Wednesday at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, a game that featured 13 ties and 15 lead changes before the Senators held on late.

Point Park carried a narrow 37–36 lead into halftime after a back-and-forth opening half, but Davis & Elkins responded in the second period with efficient shooting and timely scoring to pull ahead. The Senators outscored the Pioneers 39–36 in the second half to secure the two-point victory.

Dontrell Jenkins led Davis & Elkins with 19 points, knocking down four three-pointers, while Matthew Gray added 17 points and seven rebounds. Vegas Evans chipped in 12 points, and Nnadozie Okoroji added 11 as the Senators shot better than 45 percent from the field and hit 11 three-pointers.

Point Park was led by Aidan Anderson, who delivered a game-high 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for a double-double. Jaylen Stewart contributed 10 points, while Kaden Warner added nine off the bench.

Both teams finished with 34 points in the paint, but Davis & Elkins’ outside shooting and balanced scoring proved to be the difference in the closing moments of a tightly fought MEC matchup.
