In a game postponed to Monday evening due to a power outage, George Washington improved its record to 3-0 by defeating Cabell Midland 27-12. The contest was a close affair for three quarters, tied 6-6 at halftime before the Patriots took a 14-6 lead after recovering a fumble on the second-half kickoff. Cabell Midland responded with a time-consuming touchdown drive to make the score 14-12 heading into the final period. However, George Washington pulled away late, scoring the final 13 points on touchdown runs from Cy Persinger and Jaden Black to secure the victory, dropping the Knights to 0-3 on the season.
