Morgantown, Williamstown, and Doddridge County claimed the Class AAA, Class AA, and Class A state track and field championships, respectively.
Morgantown secured their third Class AAA title in four years, narrowly defeating Huntington by five points. Elicia McCurrie was a key contributor for Morgantown, winning the 100m and 200m runs and anchoring the 4x400 relay. Huntington finished as runners-up with wins in the 300 hurdles (Mallori Dunn-Martin), 100 hurdles (Milleah Johnson), and 4x100 relay. Other notable Class AAA winners included Annie Whited (Greenbrier East) in the 400m and high point championship, and Hannah Phillips (Jefferson) who swept the 1600m and 800m runs.
Williamstown dominated the Class AA competition, earning their sixth consecutive and eleventh overall state championship. Shelby Smith led the Yellowjackets with wins in the 400m and 200m runs. Herbert Hoover was the Class AA runner-up, with freshman Maysen Fletcher setting a new state meet record in the 1600m and winning the 800m. East Fairmont placed third, winning two relays and the long jump (Caroline Corwin).
Doddridge County won their first Class A state title since 2018, completing a sweep of the Class A crowns alongside their boys' team. St. Marys finished as Class A runner-up, with Laney Watkins winning the 400m and Avry Bennett taking the pole vault. Charleston Catholic placed third, with Bella Boggs winning the 1600m and earning individual high point honors.
