The Doddridge County Bulldogs dominated the Class A State Track Championships, securing their twelfth state title and first since 2022 by winning three events on Day 2, including a clean sweep of the top three pole vault spots led by Tristan Swiger, and victories in both the 4x100m and 4x200m sprint relays. Wahama finished as the Class A runner-up with three Saturday wins, notably Trace Simpkins in the 300 hurdles and University of Charleston signee Connor Lambert setting a new Class A state record in the 100 meters (10.61 seconds) and also winning the 200 meters. Trinity's Chase Livengood was the high point champion, adding the 400m title to his long jump win, while Tyler Consolidated's Amos Kimble was a double-winner in the 1,600m and 3200m. New state records were also set by Isaac Agee of Greenbrier West in the 110 hurdles and Donovan Tanouye of Paw Paw in the 800 meters. Other Class A winners included Magnolia's Darin Shimp in shot put and St. Marys in the 4x400m relay.
In Class AA, Point Pleasant captured their third title in five years and fourth overall, building on their Day 1 lead by winning the 110 hurdles (sweeping the top three with Grant Barton) and the 4x400m relay. Frankfort earned runner-up honors, with three event wins on Saturday, including Keiton Nestor in the 400m and Ryan Hughes as the individual high point champion after adding the 1,600m and 800m titles to his 3200m win. Other Class AA champions included Lane Watson (Roane County, 300 hurdles), Cameron Crislip (James Monroe, long jump), Isaiah Minor (Nicholas County, high jump), Trey Ward (Chapmanville, 100 meters), Hampshire (4x200m relay and Vinnie Greear in 200 meters), Wheeling Central Catholic (4x100m relay), and Tanner Detrick (Keyser, pole vault).
Finally, in Class AAA, University secured their second team championship in four years through consistent high finishes across events, despite only one event win on Day 2 in the 110 hurdles by Kaleil Lewis. Hurricane finished as the Class AAA runner-up, winning three events on Day 2 with Ty Steorts in the 1,600m run, Ethan Chill in shot put, and Jai’Den Smith in the 300 hurdles, with Smith also claiming the high point title. Bridgeport's Carter Zuliani capped a remarkable senior year by winning the discus, adding to his state titles in multiple sports. Other Class AAA winners included Parkersburg’s Landen Deuley in the 400m run and their 4x400m relay team setting a state record, Woodrow Wilson sweeping the 4x100m and 4x200m relays and Gabriel Kidd winning the 100m, Washington’s Isaah Beard in the long jump, Cabell Midland’s Aidan Kneeland in the 800m run, and Jefferson’s Tony Allen in the 200m run.
