In a Class AAA state softball elimination game, Frankfort defeated Weir 4-3 in a walk-off victory. Tayler Likens scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh, her fourth hit of the game. Likens went 4-for-4. Avery Noel drove in two runs and pitched a complete game for Frankfort, striking out eight. Weir tied the game in the top of the seventh, but their season ended with the loss. Frankfort will now face Winfield in the state championship round, needing to beat them twice to claim the title, while Winfield aims for their third consecutive championship.
