The Bridgeport Indians are coming off an incredibly dominant 2024 season where they went 14-0, winning every game by at least four touchdowns and outscoring opponents by an average of 57-8. Despite this historic success, the team's focus quickly shifted to the 2025 season, with players and coaches eager to return to the weight room and continue their development.
While a highly decorated senior class, including two Division I signees, has graduated, the current senior class is ready to step up and meet the program's high expectations. Key returning linemen like Noah West, Bryson Lowther, and Wes Conley, all with significant experience, are expected to lead the team and mentor younger players. Although the top four rushers have moved on, juniors Gavin Williams and Gabe Martin are poised to take on expanded roles in the backfield.
The 2025 schedule features five new opponents, including strong teams like Heritage High School (Virginia) and Maryland state champion Fort Hill, which head coach Tyler Phares believes will be exciting for both the team and fans. Phares attributes the program's continued success to the dedication and continuity of his coaching staff, who uphold the long-standing traditions and expectations of Bridgeport football.
