High School Game Night continues its 25th anniversary season tonight with complete coverage of Week 8 of the 2026 West Virginia high school football season.
Beginning at 9:30 p.m., Fred Persinger and Dave Jecklin will deliver continuous score updates, interviews and analysis as results come in from more than 50 Friday-night matchups involving West Virginia teams across all four classifications.
Week 8 is highlighted by a renewal of a storied postseason rivalry as Bluefield travels to Fairmont Senior for the MetroNews Television Game of the Week, sponsored by GoMart. The Beavers enter riding a five-game winning streak, while the Polar Bears look to build on a record-setting offensive performance in their most recent victory. The two programs meet for the first time since 2020.
Other marquee matchups include undefeated University at Spring Mills, unbeaten Martinsburg at Washington, George Washington at Huntington, Herbert Hoover at Ripley and Morgantown at Parkersburg South as the race for postseason positioning intensifies across the Mountain State.
Watch High School Game Night live tonight on MetroNews Television from 9:30 p.m. to midnight.
