Through the first three weeks, we saw our share of surprising scores and, last week, once again, the weather entered into the picture! The biggest story that came out of play in week #3 occurred at Ona, WV, where two blown power transformers put the “Knight’s Castle” in the dark, and saw a much-anticipated matchup between George Washington and Cabell Midland postponed until this past Monday evening at 7:30p!
Hopefully, week #4 will be less chaotic, and we will get the 52 scheduled games played in a timely fashion. We appreciate you joining us for some exciting games tonight on MetroNews TV as we feature Martinsburg @ Hedgesville in an always tough Eastern Panhandle game…..Pocahontas County at Greenbrier West as the Warriors look for win #1 in week #4…in Class 4-A, Oak Hill will pay a visit to Class 3-A Shady Spring…still surprisingly winless Williamstown will pay a visit to Spencer to battle the undefeated Roane County Raiders and in a classic rivalry game, Parkersburg South will travel cross town to take on Parkersburg for the 58th time and in a true rivalry, in the last ten meetings, each team has won 5 and lost 5!
Join us for action from across the state on High School GameNight, this Friday from 9:30 PM to Midnight on MetroNews Television!
