Week 6 was too loaded for a standard countdown. Nineteen plays made the cut, featuring breakaway touchdown runs, one-handed catches, scoop-and-scores, blocked kicks, pick-sixes and spectacular special-teams returns from across West Virginia.
No. 19 — George Washington: Jaden Black races 60 yards for one of his five touchdowns in the Patriots’ 64-21 win over Parkersburg. Black finished with 214 rushing yards on 12 carries.
No. 18 — Herbert Hoover: Peyton Grigsby takes a keeper 68 yards straight up the middle before Army commit David Robinson breaks loose for a 55-yard touchdown. Robinson rushed for 193 yards and five scores as the unbeaten Huskies defeated South Charleston, 48-12.
No. 17 — Morgantown: Maddox Twigg rolls to his left and connects with Lyric Blake, who breaks free for a 37-yard touchdown in the Mohigans’ 47-7 win at Wheeling Park.
No. 16 — Frankfort: Cole Shanholtz scoops up a fumble at midfield and returns it 50 yards for a touchdown as the Falcons extend their winning streak to 33 games with a 43-21 victory at Mountain Ridge, Maryland.
No. 15 — Berkeley Springs: Jalen Miller finds Kyle Moore for a 70-yard touchdown against Southern Garrett, Maryland. Moore finishes with 233 receiving yards in the Indians’ 21-11 victory.
No. 14 — Elkins: Seth Robinson bursts through the line and wins the race to the end zone on a 71-yard run. Jaden Hatfield nearly covers the entire field with an 88-yard touchdown as the Tigers defeat Grafton, 44-21.
No. 13 — University: Harrison Helbig swings the ball to Evan Toler, who jukes his way through the defense for a 32-yard touchdown. Helbig later fits a pass into a tight window for a 22-yard touchdown to Hayden George in the Hawks’ 31-6 win over Linsly.
No. 12 — Braxton County: Brady Toler breaks toward the sideline and races 81 yards for the longest touchdown of the Eagles’ 47-8 victory over Poca.
No. 11 — Jefferson: Matthew Brown jumps the route and finds nothing but open field ahead of him on a 77-yard pick-six in the Cougars’ 21-17 win at Hedgesville.
No. 10 — Sissonville: Maddox Belote finds Noah Evans, who races 66 yards for one of his five touchdowns as the undefeated Indians earn a 47-20 victory over PikeView.
No. 9 — Huntington: Marek Midkiff airs it out toward the back of the end zone, where Kellen Rife makes a sliding 32-yard touchdown catch in the Highlanders’ 51-0 win over Capital.
No. 8 — Oak Glen: Maddox Bowen collects a high snap on an extra-point attempt, escapes the pressure and keeps the play alive until Paxton Ware comes open for a two-point conversion in a 24-0 win over St. Marys.
No. 7 — Doddridge County: Freshman Corben Hall breaks through the line for a 56-yard touchdown. Tommy Walters-Hickman later fields a bouncing kickoff, crosses the field and wins the race to the pylon on a 76-yard touchdown return at Petersburg.
No. 6 — Wirt County and Webster County: Andrew Lemley refuses to go down and powers into the end zone from 13 yards away for Wirt County. Webster County responds when Ryder Wright breaks free from his own 4-yard line and races 96 yards for a touchdown in the Highlanders’ 20-13 victory.
No. 5 — Martinsburg: Kevin Myers displays a burst of speed on a 50-yard touchdown run. Landon Herring later blocks a Musselman field-goal attempt, allowing Kolby Walker to scoop up the ball and return it 73 yards for a touchdown in the Bulldogs’ 61-0 win.
No. 4 — Logan: Lucas Lambert records a strip-sack, recovers the loose ball in one motion and takes it 55 yards to the end zone for the Wildcats.
No. 3 — East Hardy: Defensive lineman Nicholas Roomsburg tips a pass at the line of scrimmage, catches it himself and races 77 yards for a big-man pick-six in the Cougars’ 50-12 win over Clear Spring, Maryland.
No. 2 — Preston: Rowan Kramer goes deep down the middle, and Connor Savage makes a remarkable one-handed catch for a 36-yard gain to the 1-yard line in the Knights’ 28-6 win at Baldwin, Pennsylvania.
No. 1 — Morgantown: Landon Cook intercepts a pass seven yards deep in his own end zone and takes it all the way back for an incredible 107-yard pick-six.
