Cameron turned a tight first half into a dominant road victory, scoring 30 unanswered points after halftime to defeat Tucker County, 42-6, in the MetroNews Television Game of the Week.

The Dragons’ defense set the tone early. Sterling Reed intercepted Tucker County quarterback Branson Hyre on the opening possession, and Cale Winters and Austin Miller added interceptions of their own as Cameron forced four first-half turnovers.

Quarterback Soier Reed connected twice with Talen Brown for first-half touchdowns, helping Cameron build a 12-0 advantage. Tucker County answered just before halftime when freshman Legend Harper returned an interception 31 yards for a touchdown to make it 12-6.

Cameron took complete control after the break. Reed broke free for a 45-yard touchdown run, Brown scored on runs of 11 and 54 yards, and Marshall Holland added an 18-yard touchdown as the Dragons pulled away.

The Cameron defense finished with five interceptions and held Tucker County to just 54 yards of total offense. Reed rushed for 101 yards while Brown scored four total touchdowns and finished with 90 rushing yards.

Cameron improves to 3-1 with the victory.
