Roane County gave head coach Paul Burdette a milestone victory in dominant fashion.

The Raiders scored touchdowns on their first seven possessions and built a 41-0 halftime lead on the way to a 53-21 win over Buffalo, giving Burdette his 100th career victory in 16 seasons leading Roane County.

Six different Raiders reached the end zone as Roane piled up 328 rushing yards. Javon Latourneau scored three times, including two rushing touchdowns and a touchdown reception, while Koltyn Starcher and Brodey Proctor helped power the ground attack.

Quarterback Brennen Carpenter continued his efficient start to the season, completing 4-of-5 passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Through two games, Carpenter has connected on 7-of-8 attempts.
Roane County improves to 2-0 and now turns its attention to a Week 3 rivalry matchup against Clay County.

Buffalo was led by Jacob Cossin, who scored on a 72-yard kickoff return and a 39-yard reception from Grant Weaver. Weaver also added a 39-yard rushing touchdown.
