Sissonville used small ball and a dominant outing from Layne Coffman to complete the regular season sweep of Williamstown with a 4-0 road victory in just 1 hour and 44 minutes.
Coffman was outstanding on the mound, tossing a complete-game shutout while allowing just four hits, walking three, and striking out six for the Indians.
Sissonville struck early with single runs in each of the first two innings on RBI singles from Landon Chapman and Maddox Balog. In the third, back-to-back bunt singles from Cooper Nooney and Cooper Hall helped set up another run, with Chase Litton adding an RBI single to stretch the lead.
Maddox Balog led the Indians with two hits as Sissonville improved to 13-5 and secured its eighth win in the last ten games.
Williamstown’s Wyatt Siley battled through a tough start and finished strong, going the distance with seven strikeouts for the Yellowjackets.
