Postseason positioning takes center stage in Shinnston as Philip Barbour visits Lincoln for the MetroNews Television Week 11 Game of the Week, sponsored by GoMart.

Philip Barbour enters at 6-3 with all three losses coming against top-five Class AAA opponents in Elkins, Bridgeport and North Marion. The Colts have built their offense around a powerful rushing attack led by senior running back Landyn Carpenter, and they enter the regular-season finale with a clear objective: win and secure home-field advantage for the opening round of the postseason.

Lincoln comes in at 5-4 and looking to bounce back from a 28-14 loss to Doddridge County. The Cougars still have plenty at stake, with a victory likely putting them in position to host a first-round playoff game of their own.

That makes Friday night essentially a postseason positioning battle before the playoffs even begin. Philip Barbour is looking to strengthen its seed and bring the opening round home, while Lincoln has an opportunity to finish the regular season with a statement win and potentially earn the same advantage.

With both teams already owning winning records and playoff implications tied directly to the result, Week 11 brings one of the most meaningful matchups of the final weekend of the regular season.

Watch Philip Barbour at Lincoln live from Stydahar Field in Shinnston on Friday, November 6. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on MetroNews Television, YouTube and Facebook, with Eli Brady and Coach Nick Bartic on the call.
