Two of Class A's most successful programs in recent years collide as Cameron visits Tucker County for the MetroNews Television Week 5 Game of the Week, sponsored by GoMart.

Cameron enters at 2-1 with championship aspirations and a dynamic backfield led by dual-threat quarterback Soier Reed and running back Marshall Holland. Eighth-year head coach Tim Brown has established the Dragons as a perennial contender, winning 77 percent of his games while continuing the program's pursuit of its first state championship. Cameron reached the semifinals a season ago before falling to eventual state runner-up Clay-Battelle, and the Dragons enter Week 5 looking to take another step toward a championship run.

Tucker County comes in at 2-2 with a young roster looking to continue one of the strongest stretches in program history. The Mountain Lions posted undefeated regular seasons in both 2023 and 2024 before reaching the state quarterfinals last season, where their run ended against eventual state champion Wheeling Central. Now Tucker County will look to show that its next group is ready to keep the program among the top teams in Class A.

It's a matchup between two of the winningest Class A programs over the last five years. Cameron is searching for the breakthrough that could turn years of contention into the program's first state title, while Tucker County gets an opportunity to defend its home field and continue its recent run of success.
