Roane County has established itself as one of Class AA's most consistent programs, posting a 50-9 record since 2021 with five playoff victories and a state championship appearance in 2024.
After a 9-1 regular season ended with a first-round playoff loss to Clay County last fall, the Raiders enter 2026 replacing four starters along the offensive line and four-year starting quarterback Jacob Greathouse.
But plenty of proven talent returns.
Javon Letourneau, Koltyn Starcher and Brodey Proctor give Roane County a dangerous three-headed backfield in its run-heavy Wing-T offense. Letourneau and Starcher each rushed for more than 1,000 yards last season, while Proctor returns after an injury limited him to just three games.
Newcomer Brennen Carpenter takes over at quarterback, while an experienced defensive front featuring Quentin Cooper, Wyatt Greenhouse, Logan Wilson and Evan Greathouse will look to anchor the Raiders on the other side of the ball.
With an established offseason program and a winning culture under head coach Paul Burdette, Roane County is looking to keep its standard intact and make another run through Class AA in 2026.
