Amendment 1 would change West Virginia's constitution to say only citizens of the state who are also U.S. citizens are entitled to vote. Supporters say it closes a loophole in the current wording; opponents say non-citizen voting is already illegal and the change is unnecessary.
Hear from House Judiciary Chairman J.B. Akers, lead sponsor Sen. Patricia Rucker, the Secretary of State's office and the League of Women Voters of West Virginia on what the amendment does, and what it does not change.
