Logan opened the Class AA State Softball Tournament in dominant fashion.
Wildcats ace Myleigh Adkins fired a no-hitter and struck out 15 batters in a 5-0 victory over Midland Trail in South Charleston.
Adkins allowed just two baserunners in the complete game performance, issuing a pair of walks while overpowering the Patriots lineup from start to finish.
At the plate, Shae Conley scored three runs and drove in three more to lead Logan offensively. Lena Setser and Addie Dotson also added RBIs for the Wildcats.
With the win, top-seeded Logan advances to the winners bracket semifinal against Oak Glen.
