Beckley Edges Shady Spring in Back-and-Forth Rivalry Game
Woodrow Wilson defeated Shady Spring 54-52 in a thrilling rivalry matchup. Jahden Robinson stepped up with 12 points off the bench for Beckley, hitting key threes to help fill the void left by injured starter Zyon Hawthorne.
The game was tight throughout, with multiple lead changes and neither team able to pull away. Jaylon Walton led Beckley with 17 points, while Jalon Bailey paced Shady Spring with 22.
Robinson's clutch shooting and a late basket by AJ Thomas proved to be the difference as Woodrow Wilson held on for the victory.
