In a high-scoring high school football game, Nicholas County defeated Lincoln 63-48, led by a remarkable performance from senior Devin Nash. Nash dominated the game on offense, rushing for an incredible 482 yards and scoring seven touchdowns. However, his most critical play came on defense in the fourth quarter when he recovered a fumble at Nicholas County's own two-yard line, preventing a Lincoln score and allowing the Grizzlies to run out the clock. The game was a back-and-forth affair, highlighted by a 62-yard flea flicker touchdown pass for Nicholas County just before halftime that tied the score at 35. Lincoln senior quarterback AJ Bart also had a strong performance in the loss, accounting for five touchdowns. With the victory, Nicholas County improved their record to 2-2 on the season, securing what their coach called a "must-win" before heading into their bye week.
