In a thrilling rivalry game, Fairmont Senior came from behind to defeat North Marion 27-21 in overtime. Trailing 21-14 in the fourth quarter, the Polar Bears tied the game on a two-yard touchdown run from Anthony Smith with six minutes remaining in regulation. After a back-and-forth contest that saw three lead changes and multiple ties, Fairmont Senior's defense held the Huskies scoreless on their overtime possession. Smith then sealed the victory for the Polar Bears with his second two-yard touchdown run of the game. The win marks Fairmont Senior's 23rd consecutive victory in the series against their county rivals and keeps their season record perfect at 3-0.
