Following a historic 2024 season, the Cameron Dragons football team is looking to build upon its success. Last year, the team set a program record with twelve wins and reached the Class A state championship for the first time, ultimately falling to Wahama. Head coach Tim Brown credits this achievement to a culture of hard work that has generated excitement and increased participation in the program. Despite graduating key seniors, the Dragons return starting quarterback Kason Angel, who excelled in his junior year with 17 passing touchdowns. The offense will feature new running backs, including junior Marshall Holland and sophomore Talen Brown, and will be supported by a young but veteran-led line. Defensively, Cameron returns its top two tacklers from a unit that allowed just 10.7 points per game last season: junior Carter Paczewski and sophomore Talen Brown, who led the team with 101 tackles as a freshman. Coach Brown hopes that the experience of last year's championship run will serve as a blueprint, motivating his hungry team to work hard and compete again for a state title.
