New coach, same expectations at Princeton

Nathan Tanner takes over as the new head coach of the Princeton Tigers, returning to his Southern West Virginia roots after a successful six-year tenure at Parkersburg South that included a state runner-up finish. Tanner inherits an experienced and successful program, not one in transition, that has made deep playoff runs in the past two seasons. The offense is led by returning first team All-State quarterback Chance Barker, who passed for over 2,700 yards and 36 touchdowns as a junior and has added 30 pounds in the offseason to improve his running game. His top target, receiver Brad Mossor, is also back after a 1,200-yard season, while a deep offensive line anchored by junior prospect Landyn Moore will protect new starting running backs RJ Coatney and Landon Dillon. On defense, the Tigers return their leading tackler, Kalum Kiser, who is praised by Tanner for his relentless and physical play. With significant returning talent and depth, expectations for the Princeton program are exceptionally high, a challenge the new coach and his players appear to fully embrace.
