Watch the full game archive #9 Chapmanville vs. #1 Bridgeport in the quarterfinals of the 2025 High School Football Playoffs.
Someone’s perfect season will come to an end this Saturday night as #1 Bridgeport (11-0) entertains #9 Chapmanville (11-0) at Wayne Jamison Field! Kick is set for 7 pm! The game will mark the first time the two opponents have met on the gridiron, and the stakes could not be bigger. For the visitors from Logan County, the Tigers of Chapmanville Regional High School became a consolidated school in 2007 when Chapmanville, Sharples, and Harts combined to become Chapmanville Regional! This is the 1st undefeated season in the short history of Chapmanville Regional, with their best season prior to this year coming in 2011, when former Head Coach George Barker led the Tigers to a (9-4) season, with that final loss coming in the semifinals when Chapmanville lost to Point Pleasant 33-13. Current Head Coach Zach Belcher is now in his 3rd year at the helm, and this is the 2nd year he has had his Tigers in the playoffs! Last season, Chapmanville lost to Roane County in the 1st round. The opponent for Chapmanville is certainly no stranger to the playoffs and championships, for that matter. The top-rated and undefeated Bridgeport Indians are riding a 25-game winning streak, having gone undefeated last season and beating Herbert Hoover in the 2024 Class AAA title game. Now in his 5th year leading the Indians, Head Coach Tyler Phares owns a 55-6 won/loss record. It’s quarter-final round action this Saturday night in Bridgeport, and the winner moves on to the semi-finals while the loser closes the chapter on an exciting year of WV high school football.
