Celebrate a legendary group of Mountaineers as we welcome the Class of 2025 into the West Virginia University Sports Hall of Fame. The 35th annual induction ceremony honors six iconic figures who left an indelible mark on WVU athletics, bringing the total number of inductees to 243.
Meet the prestigious Class of 2025:
Chelsea Carrier-Eades (Track & Field): One of the most decorated athletes in program history, earning eight All-America honors and still holding multiple school records in hurdles and multi-events.
Bill Kirelawich (Football): The winningest assistant coach in WVU football history, dedicating 32 years to the program and coaching in 23 bowl games.
Pat McAfee (Football): An All-American kicker and punter who shattered WVU scoring records before becoming a Pro Bowl NFL player and a celebrated national sports media personality.
The Late Bill Stewart (Football): The beloved "Coach Stew," who led the Mountaineers to a legendary 2008 Fiesta Bowl victory and three consecutive nine-win seasons as head coach.
Darrell Whitmore (Baseball/Football): A remarkable two-sport star who excelled as a record-setting outfielder in baseball and a standout defensive back in football.
Petra Zublasing (Rifle): A dominant force in rifle, winning three individual NCAA Championships and representing her home country of Italy in two Olympic Games.
