Senator Tom Takubo talks about his op ed "Don't Make Rate Payers Pay for a Costlier Choice" where he points out that coal fired powerplants are a costlier choice for power production because they aren't necessarily up to day as the should be and had maintenance preformed on them as it should have been. He says we keep our coal fired power plants ready and reliable but not make all the ratepayers pay for the excess power... let PJM get it much cheaper.
