Petersburg is headed to the Class AA State Championship game.

The Vikings outslugged Logan, 10-6, in the winners bracket final of the Class AA State Softball Tournament, remaining unbeaten and moving within one win of a state title.

Petersburg delivered timely hits throughout the game and answered every challenge from the Wildcats to secure its spot in the championship round.

Logan drops into the elimination bracket but remains alive with a chance to fight its way back to the title game.
