Week 2 of the West Virginia high school football season delivered some spectacular finishes and game-changing plays.

At No. 3, Aaron Hood showed off the footwork for Princeton, staying along the sideline for a 38-yard fourth-quarter touchdown that proved decisive in the Tigers’ 32-30 victory over Bluefield. Princeton extended its winning streak to 16 games.

At No. 2, Martinsburg provided two highlights in its 35-21 victory at Bridgeport. Boston Todd reversed field and threw across his body to Christian Irving for a 28-yard touchdown on fourth-and-goal. Later, Brian Dick found Zane Wipf for a 74-yard touchdown that sealed the Bulldogs’ victory.

Facing fourth-and-5 with 17 seconds remaining, Robert C. Byrd’s Junior Smith took the ball on a trick play, reversed field and found quarterback Isaiah Heflin for a 35-yard game-winning touchdown. The Eagles stunned Fairmont Senior, 26-21.
