Wahama's softball team defeated Greenbrier West 11-6 in a Class A elimination game to advance to the state championship round. Wahama, now 29-7, will face Pendleton County (31-2) in the final, needing to win twice to secure their fourth state title in five seasons.

Key offensive players for Wahama included Fiona VanMatre, who went 4-for-4, and Payton Staats, who had three hits and scored four runs. Elissa Hoffman earned her second tournament win, pitching a complete game with six strikeouts.

Greenbrier West concluded their season with a 20-10 record. Brilee Redden and Madalyn Fields each contributed three hits, while Brooklyn Adkins had two hits and three RBIs for the Cavaliers.
