In the opening game of the WVSSAC Class A State Softball Tournament held at Little Creek Park in South Charleston, West Virginia, Pendleton County delivered a dominant performance, securing a 12-0 victory over Trinity in just five innings. The Wildcats' offense was relentless, scoring multiple runs in each of their four innings at the plate. A key moment early in the game was Baylee Beachler's two-run home run in the first inning, setting the tone for Pendleton County. They continued to extend their lead with three-run surges in both the second and third innings, building an 8-0 advantage. Offensively, Avery Townsend and Baylee Beachler were outstanding, each driving in four runs, with Townsend going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, and Beachler and Jenna Smith each contributing two hits.
