Dingess counting on depth in the trenches to lead Spring Valley

In 2024, the Spring Valley Timberwolves extended their postseason appearance streak to 17 years, finishing with an 8-4 record and securing their first playoff victory in three years. Head coach Brad Dingess noted that last season's tough schedule and a change in classes helped give many players valuable experience that should benefit the team this year.
A key focus for the team is finding a new starting quarterback to replace the graduated Liam McGuire. Dylan Urban and Caidon Lovejoy are competing for the position, and Dingess anticipates the offense will shift from primarily using the shotgun to lining up under center more often. This change is intended to leverage a strong group of running backs, including senior Miguel Cain, who rushed for 787 yards and 10 touchdowns last season despite an injury. Other backs like senior Cam Perdue and Zeke Lewis will also contribute. Dingess also expressed confidence in the offensive and defensive lines, which return six starters, a factor he believes is crucial for being able to control the trenches and make a deep playoff run.
