Frankfort is headed to the Class AA state semifinals.
University of Charleston signee Lanson Orndorff delivered a complete game performance, allowing just one run on five hits as the Falcons defeated Lincoln, 6-1, at the WVSSAC State Baseball Tournament.
Orndorff struck out four, walked one, and threw 74 strikes over seven efficient innings to keep the rest of Frankfort's pitching staff fresh for the semifinal round.
The Falcons scored the game's final five runs and received key offensive contributions from Blake Jacobs, who delivered an RBI triple, while Orndorff, Cole Shanholtz, and Rhett Sensabaugh also drove in runs.
Lincoln's lone run came in the third inning on an RBI double from Colton Edwards.
With the victory, Frankfort advances to Thursday's Class AA semifinal at Jack Cook Field.
