Wyoming East captured the Class AA state championship with a 61–50 victory over Parkersburg Catholic, ending the Crusaders’ 44-game winning streak.
Despite playing only 10 games during the season, the Warriors delivered one of the year’s most impressive championship performances behind Skylar Davidson’s outstanding all-around game.
Davidson finished with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 assists, leading Wyoming East with strong defense and clutch scoring throughout the night.
Hannah Blankenship and Daisha Summers also provided key contributions as the Warriors built an early lead and never allowed Parkersburg Catholic to fully recover.
Parkersburg Catholic was led by Leslie Huffman, Lainie Ross, and Aaliyah Brunny, but Wyoming East’s consistent pressure and execution proved decisive.
The win secured Wyoming East’s first state championship since 2016.
